We Moved!

I almost entitled this post “Here We Grow Again!” just to be cheesy-ironic, but I simply refuse to resemble hipsters in any way these days, so the boring, straightforward title “We Moved!” won out. I don’t know about you, but I feel…okay about it.

We started teaching Krav Maga in Sync Studio a few months ago, but if you were there, you remember how it got cramped really fast, right? I mean, you could work elbows without hitting anyone, but hammerfists were pushing it. And as cool as the Sync people are, we were slipping and sliding around on those wooden floors a lot more than we wanted to. Well, we’ve finally fixed those problems and made your wildest dreams come true! WE MOVED! So don’t look for us at Sync anymore. Our new space is located on the other side of Los Portales, just two doors down from where we were, and it rocks. We’ve got more than double the space we had at Sync, our own restrooms, office space and cushy padded carpeting. But best of all, we can now add as many classes as we’d like! So we’re in the process of adding offering midday classes, high school classes, concealed carry classes and after this next Level One test, more Level Two classes. So get ready, because HERE WE GROW AGAIN! (…I just couldn’t resist!)

Concealed Carry Handgun Cert. Course

on

Imi Lichtenfeld, the father of Krav Maga, recognized the importance of firearms in self-defense. So do we at Triangle Krav Maga. North Carolina is an open carry state, but carrying a handgun in the open can draw unnecessary attention and create potential problems. Having to file a request with your sheriff each and every time you want to purchase a handgun can be extremely inconvenient, as well. But attaining your CCH permit solves both of those problems. Attend our one day course, pass the tests and discover what it’s like to walk in peace!
CCH courses are held every Saturday from 8am to 6PM, which includes class time and range time. We will cover NC firearms law, deadly force, where you can and can not carry, shooting positions, handgun selection, and much more.

1. The CCH course cost is $120.00 (cash, checks and credit cards accepted). Seats are numbered, so you must RSVP first.
2. All course materials will be provided by instructor, including targets.
3. Students must bring eye and ear protection. Prescription glasses are acceptable.
4. Students need to provide their own handguns and ammunition. You need 30rds minimum.

Shooting qualification: 70% of the rounds must hit the target from 3, 5 and 7 yard distances.
Written qualification: Make at least a 70% on the exam.

Even if you have never fired a handgun before, this class is an excellent way to familiarize yourself with one. TKM’s classes are hands-on and lively. Numerous first-time students have passed their shooting tests without a problem. If you do not have a handgun, you can either borrow one from a friend or use one of our loaner handguns (mention this when you RSVP) for $20, which includes 30 rounds of ammo. Please make sure all guns are in working order and are safe to operate. If we feel that a gun is not safe to operate, we will provide a loaner gun for you to use.
